Hart School District Plans Parent And Community Information Nights

Santa Clarita Valley parents and community members are invited to attend one of three information nights on Common Core State Standards starting Sept. 26.

The information nights will cover the standards that will be implemented throughout the state for the 2014-2015 school year.

The information meetings are as follows:

Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. – Hart High School auditorium

Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. – Arroyo Seco Jr. High School multi-purpose room

Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m. –  Golden Valley High School theater

The Common Core information meetings will be presented by Michele Krantz, director of professional development, and Dave LeBarron, director of curriculum and assessment. They will be discussing the background of the standards, the district’s implementation plan and how students will be assessed for their learning.

There will be a question and answer session following each of the information meetings.

No RSVP is required.
