When a company has to tighten its belt it may lay off employees or cut back hours, but what happens when that companies employees are horses?
The answer to that question is one that Heads Up Therapy is facing, and laying off is not an option. To combat this, they will hold a garage sale to put money into their feed the horse’s budget.
“Horses have to eat, and we can’t just put them on the shelf and tell them we’ll feed them next week,” said Nancy Pitchford-Zhe, Executive Director of Heads Up Therapy.
To help raise more money, the organization is asking for donations such as furniture, bikes and clothing items to sell at the garage sale.
“Without these horses there is no program, so we need to make sure we take care of them,” said Pitchford-Zhe.
The sale will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on March 27, at 18542 Iron Canyon Rd. in Canyon Country.
