What is Kybella?
Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable drug that can destroy submental fat, commonly known as a double chin, with few side effects.
“This product was tested in 1600 patients with excellent results,” said Dr. Craig Ingber, DermaCure’s owner and board certified facial plastic surgeon.
Produced by the makers of Botox, Kybella is a naturally occurring substance found in all of our bodies, according to Ingber.
“The drug is synthetically produced so that it is totally non-allergenic and carries no risk of transmitted disease,” he said. “Side effects were transient and few and included swelling, redness, bruising and pain in the area. The only reason not to use this drug is infection in the area.”

Two to six treatments are required, with each treatment lasting 15 minutes. The injections are performed directly into the fat in the chin.
“Once the treatments are done, the fat is permanently removed by your body and further treatments are not required,” Ingber said.
Kybella Results
A total of 79 percent of patients treated with Kybella reported satisfaction with the results, Ingber added, reporting improvement in self-perception and feeling happier, younger, less self conscious, less overweight and less embarrassed.
Ingber is the first and only Santa Clarita physician to offer Kybella in the Santa Clarita Valley, according to DermaCure officials.
You can schedule your free consultation with the Santa Clarita botox experts at DermaCure by calling or stopping by their office in Valencia. Kybella “before and after” pictures are available online.
