I wish I could tell you it is all because of some magic pill, but it just doesn’t work that way.

The good news, though, is that the answer is easier than most people think.

It’s certainly easier than waking up stiff and sore every morning, or having low energy even with caffeine all day, or always being hungry, or holding onto that stubborn belly fat no matter how much you exercise, or not even being able to exercise at all.

All it took for me was a few simple differences in:

Step 1 – Get Your Head on Straight with Good Posture, Pain Free Exercise

Posture has a great deal to do with pain free fitness, especially when you exercise.

Pain free exercise isn’t about timid exercise. It’s normal for a little pain after a good workout. No pain, no gain, the saying goes. But pain free exercise is about smart exercise: knowing how to do it without actually hurting yourself.

My goal is to exercise enough to sweat for 20 minutes every day. For some people, just walking for 20 minutes will work up a sweat.

When you walk, watch your posture:

  1. keep your eyes forward and level with the horizon
    keep your ears over your shoulders
    (head on straight)
  2. try to gently squeeze the bottom of your shoulder blades together
    (shoulders down and back)
  3. pull your belly button back and up and
    squeeze the bottom of ribs together
    (gut tight)
  4. squeeze your bottom together and under you
    slightly tilting the bottom of your pelvis forward
    (butt tight)

If your ears hang out in front of your shoulders, you need to see this.

Step 2 – Food, Pain Free Fitness and Eating What’s Right for You

Beware of nutritional advice that starts with something like, “Everyone should or everyone needs….”

Each person’s nutritional requirements are different and change over time.

So if you are not going to follow your favorite TV doctor’s nutritional advice, how do you know what the best food is for you?

The answer is easier than you think, and it’s FREE!

Pay attention to your body signals.

Pay attention to how you feel an hour after you eat something.

Are you hungry again?

Tired?

Confused?

Irritable?

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you very likely ate something that was bad for you.

And it doesn’t matter if the food came from a fast food place or a raw organic juice bar.

These reactions are your body trying to warn you that what you just ate is causing inflammation and damage, making your body more fat, sick, hurt and tired.

Learning how to pay attention to how you feel after you eat eliminates dieting forever!

Step 3 – Focus on What You Want

Whatever we focus on, we see more of.

It is easy to focus on problems, but it is more effective to focus on how you will feel when the problem is solved.

Do you like to think of yourself as a problem-solver?

I used to and I was constantly frustrated, overwhelmed and miserable.

Getting stuck in frustrating negative thinking can make you just as sick as any other type of poison.

A few years ago I learned to start focusing on the feelings I get from solving a problem.

And how to focus on those feelings every day, when exercising, to supercharge my day.

Once I started feeling success, even before I started a project, like losing 30 pounds,
the details that used to make me crazy seemed to easily fall into place.
