Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and Superior Life Support have joined forces to offer a Child/Infant CPR course.
“The class gives parents the confidence to handle stressful and potentially dangerous situations by teaching them infant cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking procedures, as well as automated external defibrillator,” said Thomas Stafford, CPR instructor and Los Angeles Fire Department captain.
“Time is critical for a child that is choking or having difficulty breathing and parents may panic when this type of situation occurs,” said Sally McGann, director of women’s services at Henry Mayo. “Our class teaches participants the life-saving steps necessary to save a child’s life.”
