Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital officials announced Wednesday that Paige Heaphy has been named vice president of performance management and business development, and will begin her new position on April 4.

Among other responsibilities in her new position at Henry Mayo, Heaphy will oversee quality and risk management, decision support, the project management office and service excellence.
“I’m pleased to welcome Paige to Henry Mayo, where her expertise and leadership in innovation and improving outcomes through evidenced-based practice will be a valuable asset,” said Roger Seaver, CEO and president. “As a vital member of the executive leadership team, she will be instrumental in helping us achieve the best possible organizational quality and patient safety outcomes.”
Heaphy previously worked at Cedars-Sinai Health System in Los Angeles.

During her 15-year tenure, she held several leadership positions that focused on performance improvement; patient safety; data and analytics; medical staff services; and regulatory compliance.
“I am very happy to join the Henry Mayo leadership team,” Heaphy said. “I look forward to contributing my knowledge and skills to achieve the mission of Henry Mayo and to achieve superior results in quality, efficiency, patient safety and patient experience.”
Heaphy received a master of science degree in public health from the University of North Carolina, Gillings School of Global Public Health; and a bachelor of science in microbiology from the University of California, San Diego. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and earned Patient Safety Certification from John Hopkins’ Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety.
