William, or Bill, Holstein and Scott Fushi each bring over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry to their new positions at Henry Mayo Fitness and Health.

They are the team leaders whose goal is to help our community stay fit and healthy. The state-of-the art fitness center will provide a variety of exercise amenities such as strength and weight training, cardio equipment, pool and group exercise studios.

New general manager, Holstein, comes by fitness and sports naturally, growing up in the Chicago area. He relocated to Los Angeles with his family where he played high school football, led his team to a league championship and was selected Offensive Player of the Year.

A severe knee injury ended his college athletics at the University of Idaho, where he graduated with a major in Sports Science and a minor in Business.

His love of the health and fitness field developed into a management career in fitness centers, working in both commercial and corporate settings.

Additionally, Holstein began a training company, PowerFitness Training, LLC, which provided comprehensive wellness education, nutrition counseling and fitness training for groups and individuals.

Holstein has coached youth and travel baseball in both Valencia and Castaic and has resided with his family in the Santa Clarita Valley for 12 years.

New membership services director, Fushi, turned his passion for sports into a recreation and fitness career after injuries forced him to change his pro athlete path.

Fushi’s own rehabilitation and education has created a strong foundation to help improve the health and well-being of others in a supportive and energetic manner.

His management expertise from the former Valencia Spectrum will provide a familiar understanding of the facility as it transforms into the dynamic environment of Henry Mayo Fitness and Health to serve wellness and health for the community.

As a clinically integrated medical fitness and wellness center, Henry Mayo Fitness and Health will offer the Santa Clarita Valley a premier destination designed for individual and family preventive health care.

Applications for charter memberships to Henry Mayo Fitness and Health are being accepted now.

Holstein and Fushi will meet the public to talk more about membership on Saturday, Jan. 16 and Sunday, Jan. 17 from noon to 4 p.m.
