Health And Wellness A Priority Of The Chamber of Commerce

 

Chamber of Commerce to host Health Fair to help residents
find medical services in the valley.

[view:node_ad=5]The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a
free Health and Wellness Fair on January 31 at College of the Canyons Student
Center.

 

The event will feature more then 90 vendors from the Santa
Clarita Area, and a variety of health professionals.

 

Throughout the event there will be speakers talking about
various health and wellness topics, according to Dr. Kelly Herta, co-chair of
the Health Care Committee. The speakers will rotate every 20 minutes for the
duration of the event. 

 

Herta, who is also a practitioner for Aligned Health Chiropractic,
will be co-hosting a booth at the fair highlighting the different services
available at her office.

 

Screenings will be available for blood pressure,
cholesterol, stroke, strength and balance, and chiropractic. 

 

In addition, information will be available in the following
areas: cancer prevention and support, nutrition, diabetes, smoking cessation, exercise,
stress control and marriage and family therapy.
