The Samuel Dixon family Health Center has been operating out of a school, but that is all about to change.
[view:node_ad=5]The Samuel Dixon Family Health Center, which provides low cost medical care to Santa Clarita residents, has found a new home to better serve the Newhall area.
The new center is located in the Stagecoach Plaza and will house five exam rooms, two dental rooms and an office for counseling sessions.
The new location has allowed the SDFHC to expand their services from health care to dental as well.
The SDFHC has currently been operating out of a space at Newhall Elementary School, which was donated by the Newhall School District.
“With the new Newhall Health Center, SDFHC’s dream will be realized,” said SDFHC Board President Ed Bolden. “We will be able to expand our services to residents who truly have nowhere else to turn to for health care. This expansion will make our organization even more viable in the future.”
The SDFHC currently offers a full range of health care services based on a sliding payment scale.
There are also SDFHC facilities in Canyon Country and Val Verde, with outreach sites at College of the Canyons and Cal Arts.
Rev. Samuel Dixon started the family health center more than 20 years ago in an effort to provide affordable quality health care to the residents of Santa Clarita.
