Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Expands Intensive Care Unit

khts_healthRenovations to the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit are nearing completion which will allow the hospital to better provide for their critically ill and injured patients.

The $9 million renovation expanded the unit by 9,660 square feet, providing six more private ICU beds and a comfortable visitor’s lounge.

Along with expansion comes technological advances that will provide the best possible care for the patients. Such advancements include data centers in each room to allow internet access to patients, two negative air pressure rooms for enhanced infection control, and two rooms to assist in the care of larger patients.

Also included in the plans of renovation are nurses stations situated outside patient rooms and private conference and waiting rooms.
