High Winds Expected Today And Saturday

 

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the Antelope and Santa Clarita Valleys for Friday, extending into the evening.

[view:node_ad=5] According to the Oxnard office of the service, strong winds with damaging gusts are expected through the night across the Antelope Valley and mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties, excluding the Santa Monica range.

 

Gusty west to northwest winds are expected to increase up to 60 MPH in the Antelope Valley and exceeding 70 MPH on the mountains, particularly near the Interstate 5 corridor.

 

Winds are expected to continue throughout the Southland with wind advisories possibly expanding to include more locations.
