Highway 14 Crash Leaves Four Injured, Including 1 Child

Four were seriously injured, including a child, after a multi-vehicle rear-end collision on the southbound side of Highway 14, just south of Via Princessa on Tuesday.

The collision happened at approximately 2:35 p.m., said Fire Capt. Gabriel Huerta of Fire Station 150, which handled the incident. 

 “L.A. County Fire responded with six units on a three-car pile-up,” Huerta said. “With two people trapped, we had a total of four patient — three were transported to area hospitals.”
 
The fourth person, a child, was airlifted to Childrens Hospital, he added. 
 
“We had to shut the freeway down. We shut it down at the last niunute as the bird was coming down,” Huerta said.
 
 
“We had two (that required advanced life support, one was transported with basic life support,” Huerta added. 
 
There was a fire engine and a hazmat unit from Station 150, as well as light force units and two additional squads that provided medical assistance, including Air Squad 19.
