Drivers on Bouquet Canyon Road at Seco Canyon Road got a reprieve from red light tickets shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday when a plumbing van struck the pole holding the camera and put it out of service.

The vehicle was described as a white van with damage to the left front corner and driver’s side mirror and the words “American Standard Plumbing” on the back door.

The camera was retrieved by public works staff from the City of Santa Clarita, which will keep the equipment until the contractor can re-install it.

Anyone with information on the hit-and-run driver is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 255-1121.
