The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Los Angeles County with winds expected to reach the 60 mph area this evening.
According to the NWS, the winds will increase in strength through the evening and continue until Tuesday night.
The strongest wind gusts are expected to be through the Interstate 5 corridor, which including the Santa Clarita Valley.
Broken tree branches and flying debris can occur when winds reach these high speeds and high profile vehicles are advised to use caution.
Tonight’s temperature should drop to a low of around 45 degrees, but climb back up to 70 tomorrow.
Temperatures are expected to increase to the mid 80’s by the end of the week.
