The theme park is collecting food for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank with its 12th annual Bag-A-Ticket holiday food drive.

Any park guest who brings a full bag of nonperishable food items on Wednesday will receive a free park admission ticket, good for that day, officials said.

Through community donations, the drive continues to be one of the largest single-day food collection efforts for the Food Bank, according to Magic Mountain officials.

The park hours for Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Food items will be collected from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

All donated food will be given to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

On the Food Bank’s Most Wanted List are:

  • Canned Goods: beef stew, ravioli, cannelloni, spaghetti, tuna, peanut butter, yams,  chicken, beef, fruits, vegetables, soups, baby food
  • Packaged Items: hot cereal (grits, oatmeal, etc.), mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, powdered eggs, complete meals, pancake mixes, baby cereal, rice
  • Drinks: coffee, juices in non-breakable containers, supplemental drinks, baby formula, dry milk

The need for food supplies is at a record high and more families than ever are going hungry.

Help a family in need this holiday season with your donation and then treat your own family to an exciting day at Six Flags Magic Mountain, getting your fill of thrills on the best collection of world-class coasters and thrill rides around, including Full Throttle, Tatsu, X2, Goliath, Viper and more.

Six Flags Magic Mountain is located at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia.

The park will be open daily from Nov. 24-30 and from Dec. 20 to Jan. 4, 2015 (except Christmas Day).
