Homicide Detectives Investigate Death Of Child In Canyon Country

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives with the Homicide Bureau are investigating the death of a child, who was found not breathing at a home near the 27900 block of Solamint Road in Canyon Country around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

The call came in as “a baby not breathing,” according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.

The child was transported to the hospital, with deputies at several intersection along Soledad Canyon Road to assist the transport.

The call was reported as a 927D, or “suspicious circumstances–possible death,” according to Sheriff’s station officials, but they could not confirm whether the death was being investigated as a homicide.
