Providence Holy Cross Medical Center fundraises to build new patient wing
To raise money for a new Patient Care Wing at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, over 650 employees joined together to campaign for funds.
While numerous employees donated money, others found clever ways to fundraise, including holding a pancake breakfast, running a car wash, throwing a carne asada barbecue, and even having a raffle for prime parking spots.
The new patient wing will cost over $181 million. Through their fundraising and donations, hospital staff raised $614,059 for the building fund, surpassing their $500,000 goal.
Along with providing an additional 136 patient beds, the expansion will include a neonatal intensive-care unit as well as a new Women’s Pavilion which will present exceptional labor and delivery suites.
This four-story expansion is scheduled to open in late 2010.
