How To Beat Traffic…Ride Your Bike To Amgen

Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition will watch your bike for free, leaving you time to enjoy the event.

Recent news stories on “How to Get Around during the Amgen Tour” made no mention of the best way to get around…on your bike!

Come to the Angen Tour Of California this weekend on your bike, via the roads or trail system, then park your bike at the free Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC) Bike Valet, located at the mall off Market Street, South of Town Center Drive, behind Glen Ivy Spa.

They will watch your bike for free while you enjoy the event.

While there, residents will have a chance to pick up a flyer and learn how the 1000+ member non-profit works to improve bike safety and bike riding opportunities county-wide.

At all times, cyclists should remember the rules of the road, and pay particular attention at intersections, where most accidents occur.

Car drivers should also give bikers a little extra room when passing, and also watch for bikes at intersections and trail crossings. [view:node_ad=5]

Learn how LACBC works for cyclists on issues like legislation, trails, regional planning, to road widening, and police and public official education.

Visit www.la-bike.org for more. A Bike Valet will also be available at the Rose Bowl for the Sunday event.
