The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) advises motorists traveling this weekend on northbound and southbound Golden State Freeway (I-5) at Templin Highway to plan ahead and leave early to avoid expected Labor Day holiday-related traffic delays from Friday, September 3 through Monday, September 6.
The roadway is reduced by one lane in both directions due to an ongoing slope stabilization and roadway rehabilitation project. Three northbound and three southbound lanes remain open to motorists at Templin Highway, located approximately 10 miles north of Santa Clarita and 33 miles south of the ‘Grapevine.’
