Contruction continues on Magic Mountain Parkway/I-5 Interchange.
The construction of the storm drain box is over 80 percent complete. The general contractor, Security Paving Construction, is continuing constructing the box culvert, which crosses underneath Magic Mountain Parkway west of The Old Road. Please allow extra time when traveling through the area during peak park hours. It is anticipated that construction of the box culvert will last another six to eight weeks.
AT&T has secured an encroachment permit from Caltrans to begin the relocation and installation of new conduit lines. AT&T's contractor, VCI, will commence the installation of the new conduit line in early July. The work should last approximately two months. Construction inquiries may be directed to Brian Gomez of AT&T at (661) 251-0093. The limit of AT&T's work is westbound Magic Mountain Parkway between the southbound I-5 off-ramp and Tourney Road.

Currently, we are working on Phase 2 of the 11 phases for these improvements. The anticipated completion of this phase is fall 2007. This phase includes constructing portions of freeway on-ramps and off-ramps, the majority of the drainage box, and retaining walls. During this phase, existing ramps and local roadways (Magic Mountain Parkway and The Old Road) will be open for vehicular traffic.
