Caltrans will close the following lanes and ramps of the northbound and southbound Golden State Freeway (I-5) from Vista Del Lago (about two miles north of Castaic) to Frazier Park, as part of a one-year, 40-mile project to repair lanes on I-5 damaged from this year’s heavy rainstorms:
From 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, November 14:
· One to three lanes of northbound and southbound I-5, intermittently,
in various locations, from Frazier Park to Vista Del Lago
· The Frazier Mountain Road on-ramp to southbound I-5
· The southbound I-5 on-ramp and off-ramp at Gorman Post Road
· The southbound I-5 connector to State Route 138
· The southbound I-5 on-ramp and off-ramp at Smokey Bear Road
· The southbound I-5 on-ramp and off-ramp at Vista Del Lago
Daily and overnight, 5 a.m. to 5 a.m. — from Monday morning, November 14
through Saturday morning, November 19:
· One to three lanes of southbound I-5, intermittently, in various
locations, from Frazier Park to Vista Del Lago
· The Frazier Mountain Road on-ramp to southbound I-5
· The southbound I-5 on-ramp and off-ramp at Gorman Post Road
· The southbound I-5 connector to State Route 138
· The southbound I-5 on-ramp and off-ramp at Smokey Bear Road
· The southbound I-5 on-ramp and off-ramp at Vista Del Lago
On- and off-ramps will be closed on an as-needed basis. This $6.8-million, 40-mile project will include replacement of existing Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) slabs, replacement of pavement striping and markings, and installation of reflective markers on newly placed slabs.
