The California Highway Patrol has reopened the I-5 freeway in both directions through the Grapevine.

The road had been closed since 6:30 a.m. after icy conditions and snow caused a morning accident.

The I-5 may be closed again if weather conditions worsen. Stay with KHTS AM-1220 and hometownstation.com throughout the day for updated freeway conditions.
