Inmates Get A Road Trip To Go With Bracelets

khts_crime_genericDeputies will have to take a long road to jail for the next couple of days, as the lockup at the Santa Clarita Valley station on Magic Mountain Parkway will be closed for repairs.

 

 

According to Sgt. Tom Jensen, the water heater that provides heated showers for the inmates is broken and, to keep the department in compliance with Title 15 of the California Code of Regulations, all bookings will be done at the Crescenta Valley station until repairs are completed.

That includes moving the two current inmates and three trusty inmates who work at the SCV station, sending them over the hill for a couple of days.

The move should not impact the inmates’ court schedules.
