On Monday, June 4th LA County fire officials cut the ribbon on Interim Fire Station 156.

Supervisor Michael Antonovich and LA County Fire Chief P. Michael Freeman along with employees from Newhall Land & Farm dedicated the interim fire station.

The station is a public/private partnership. The interim fire station is coming on line to begin servicing the new Valencia villages of West Creek and West Hills as well as other areas of the Santa Clarita Valley. 

Construction activities will begin in the coming months on the permanent station which is scheduled to open in 2010.
