It’s Time For Dodger Day!

Residents Invited to Attend Dodger Stadium on Sunday April 22, 2007.

ImageThe City of Santa Clarita is inviting residents to sign up for the longest running community event in Dodger history at the 30th annual Santa Clarita Valley Dodger Day. The fun begins on Sunday April 22, 2007, at 1:10 p.m.  Pre-game activities will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Bring your friends and family to cheer on the Los Angeles Dodgers as they face off against the Pittsburg Pirates at Dodger Stadium.  Participants are guaranteed to have a fun and exciting afternoon at a discounted price!

Tickets prices are $14 for “Lower Reserved” seating, $15 for “Infield Reserved” seating, and $25 for “Field” seats. Tickets are on sale at the Santa Clarita Activities Center, located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway, or City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Blvd.  The last day to purchase tickets is on Friday, April 13, at 5:00 p.m. or while tickets last.

All proceeds from the game will go towards helping local Santa Clarita not for profit organizations.

Groups that sell 50 or more tickets get to parade onto the Dodger field, see their face on Dodgervision, and participate in the Santa Clarita pre-game activities.

Additionally, the City is holding auditions for locals interested in singing the National Anthem at the April 22nd game.  National Anthem auditions for the game need to be turn in to City Hall by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2007.   The Dodger Day committee is asking submissions not to be recorded or edited in the studio.

Participants must live in the Santa Clarita Valley and should submit a VHS or 8MM Video tape or DVD, singing the National Anthem.  A brief background and description of past performance experience should accompany each submission.  Only the winners will be notified.  The Los Angeles Dodgers organization Dodgers will make the final decision, and audition materials will not be returned but can be picked up at City Hall in Suite 120.
