Action movie star will call Santa Clarita Studios home
On Friday afternoon, mega movie star and martial artist Jackie Chan announced that he would open his first office in the United States. That office will be located in Santa Clarita.
Santa Clarita Studios will be home to his office, located in the Industrial Center. JC Culture is the name of his company, and it’s mission is to expand the actor’s brand, produce and co-produce entertainment outlest, and to promote Chan’s role as the ambassador for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
Many movies highlight Chan’s career, including the popular Rush Hour trilogy.
Chan was flanked by executives from the China Film Group and was honored by several of California’s elected officials, including Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, LA County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Congressman Buck McKeon, and Santa Clarita City officials.
Chan was awarded the “Sino-American Cultural Exchange Ambassador” award for his entertainment and philanthropic achievements.
