Music festival celebrates 10th year.

[view:node_ad=5]Get ready for the sounds of live Jazz and Blues bands to once again fill Town Center Drive in Valencia.  This will be the 10th year that the Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues will feature regional, national and international entertainers in a quaint street party setting while offering interactive activities for adults and children.

 

This year’s series, set to begin Friday, June 13th, will run for 12 concert weeks through September 5.  (There is no concert on Friday, July 4th) Hours for the concerts will be 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM. The events will take place on Town Center Drive adjacent to the Hyatt Valencia.

 

Keyes Lexus of Valencia returns as the title sponsor of the series along with returning series sponsors including, Lennar, the City of Santa Clarita, Princess Cruises,  SCV Chamber of Commerce, The Signal, The Magazine of Santa Clarita/Elite Magazine, Inside SCV Magazine,  KHTS Radio, etc.  

 

Some of the recording artists featured this year include: Tom Nolan Band, Michael John & the Bottom Line, Lori Andrews JazHarp Quartet, Reno Jones, Jeff Jensen Band, Gino Matteo, The Delgado Brothers, Doña Oxford, Lightnin’ Willie & the Poor Boys… and more!

 

Throughout the scheduled series will be a variety of interactive programming for the entire family, including a Children’s Area.  The Paseo Club will sponsor the Children’s Area for the first half of the series.  The City of Santa Clarita will be returning as the sponsor for the second half of the series, featuring the City’s Parkmobile.

 

In addition to the extraordinary sounds offered from some of the top Jazz and blues recording artist in the world, the scheduled series will bring a variety of food and beverages, including wine and beer for the adults.

 

Continuing the tradition of supporting SCV’s local charities, a portion of the weekly sales from the beverage bar, hosted by The Chamber of Commerce, will be donated to a local non-profit organization.  In the past nine years, nearly 30 different charitable organizations have benefited from this program.  

 

No pets or outside food or beverages are allowed.  Admission is free.
