Local veteran nonprofit organization, VETS BACK TO WAR ZONE, will install Dick “Tarzan” Jeffrey as its new President and Chairman of the Board of Directors at 6:30 p.m. October 15 at The Paseo Club with family members and invited guests in attendance.
A staunch advocate of veteran issues, Jeffrey is involved in several military and veteran projects, including “Support the Troops” Rallies, SCV Veterans Advisory Committee, the Memorial Day Committee and 1st Prov. Rifle Co. Reunion Committee, where he serves as Chief Advisor. He is also the Chief Operating Officer of the STON Mineral Makeup Company headquartered here in the Santa Clarita.

Dick was nominated to join the Board after he delivered a powerful presentation during the VBTWZ Panel Presentation, “The Silent Wounds of Trauma: Hearing the Hurt, Helping to Heal, Being a Vocal Partner,” sponsored by the Social Science and Business Department at College of the Canyons.
VETS BACK TO WAR ZONE is a 501 (c)( 3) nonprofit veterans organization based in the Santa Clarita Valley. It was founded in 2006 for the purpose of returning veterans to their original area of combat operations (war zone) as a form of therapeutic treatment to help overcome symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and to involve them as mentors for recent veterans returning from their war zones.
