15% of all proceeds earned at Canyon Country sandwich shop will be donated.
[view:node_ad=5]Until 8:00 p.m. today, Jersey Mike's in Canyon Country will be giving 15% of their total proceeds to support the families of two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials who were murdered last year.Deputy Juan Able Escalante was killed at the age of 27 on August 2nd 2008. As he was leaving for work that morning he was gunned down in front of his mother’s house in Cypress Park.
Station Clerk Adriana Pizarro was killed on December 20th after a returning home from Christmas shopping. A stray bullet from a gang shooting over 150 yards away proved fatal for Pizarro, who worked at the Compton Sheriff’s Station for 10 years. That night’s gang shooting also killed a 23 year old man.
This “Heroes Tribute” is only being held at the Jersey Mike’s location at 18635 Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.
