Jr. High Student Hit By Car

Victim airlifted to Children’s Hospital.ImageThe Hart School District is reporting that a seventh grade student was hit by a car this morning, near Rancho Pico Jr. High.

 

The victim was airlifted, along with their mother to the Children’s Hospital.

 

The condition of the child is not immediately known, however Sgt. Miler from the California Highway Patrol reports that he suffered a moderate gash to the head, apparently caused by the vehicle’s side mirror. The injuries did not appear to be life threatening.  

 

Several students were witnesses to the accident, and therefore Rancho Pico has made counselors available to talk to.

 

In addition, a connect-ed message was sent out to notify parents shortly after the accident.
