Kellar Gets Support From New Community

Bob Kellar Reelection Fundraiser to be held tonight at new Embassy Suite Hotel.

For their first mainstream community event, the East Asian Community of Santa Clarita will come out to support Mayor Bob Kellar for his reelection campaign.  East Asian Community member Sarah Darabi said that although the organization has just begun this year, that they’re off to a great start.  “We have 4 organizers, and between 200-300 members.  And for just starting recently, it’s a great accomplishment.”

All members are business professionals who are originally from East Asian countries, and now reside in Santa Clarita.  Darabi herself has been a real estate broker since 1992.

When asked why the community chose to this fundraiser to be their first, Darabi responded, “I’ve known Bob Kellar for over 10 years and we’re all great supporters of his campaign for reelection.  So, to show our support we will be holding a fundraiser tonight at the new Embassy Suites in Valencia.”

The event will be hosted by Darabi, and will feature community speakers and a question and answer session with the mayor himself.

The fundraiser will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suite Hotel, located at 82508 Westinghouse Place, Valencia.  For more information, please contact either Sarah Darabi at (661) 251-9191 or Moazzem H. Chowdbury at (661) 816-8468.
