Sanctuary staff saved Otis and his litter from the Lancaster Shelter when they were newborns.
“This is the only home he’s ever known,” said Nikkole McNulty, kennel attendant. “He’s always been very sweet, very affectionate.”

Because he grew up surrounded by other adoptable cats at St. Bonnie’s Sanctuary, Otis would do well in a home with other cats, but where he could still get lots of attention, according to McNulty.
“He loves being the center of attention,” she said. “He likes to talk, so he chatters a lot.”
McNulty continued, “Otis would do well in any type of home (with) anyone who would give him attention, love… Anyone who would take time out of their day to play with him.”

About the KHTS Adopt a Pet Series
Every Wednesday, the KHTS Adopt a Pet series features an adoptable animal from the Santa Clarita Valley in need of a home. The KHTS Features team travels to different rescues and shelters in Santa Clarita to meet the pets and tell their stories in hopes of helping them get adopted. First launched in August 2016, the series has partnered with seven local rescues, as well as the Castaic Animal Shelter, to showcase nearly 100 dogs, cats and bunnies, and has seen 76 — and counting — adoptions so far. The series was created by Melissa Lampert-Abramovitch, who has more than 10 years of experience in the animal rescue world and co-founded Madeline’s Angels Pet Sanctuary in Santa Clarita in 2016.
