Called “Senior Moment,” the one-hour program will offer helpful tips and resources on a variety of senior-related topics designed for both the elderly and their families.
“We want it to be topical to needs that are senior-related needs, but more importantly is adult children, because adult children become de facto caregivers,” said Joe Shenberger, SRA president.
“We want to expose to them different issues so they realize them as they come up,” he continued, “and what resources are available to them so that they know where to look to find out answers to their questions.”
The SRA is an educational outreach group that has previously conducted outreach efforts at Santa Clarita businesses and events, and Shenberger said he hopes the show will help them reach even more people in need of valuable senior-related resources.
“We believe we have the opportunity to reach a much broader audience,” he said. “The venue is there; people can come to us as opposed to us coming up to them, which is a bit more of a challenge.”
