Just six months since its inception, the original KHTS AM-1220 show “The John & Leah Talk Show” is now being heard by a national audience after it was picked up by several out-of-state radio stations.

WNYM AM-970 in New York City, New York and WNIR 100-FM in Cleveland, Ohio have already begun live broadcasts of the show on Sunday nights, with WHAS AM-840 in Louisville, Kentucky set to begin broadcasting by the end of the month.
“That’s always been the goal of this, is to spread our version of the truth, which we think is something that is missing from the mainstream news media today,” said John Ziegler, who co-hosts the show with friend and colleague Leah Brandon.
A few other unnamed stations are also expected to join the growing group of national affiliates, according to Ziegler, including one in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and possibly another in Atlanta, Georgia.

“Our goal has been to get as wide a distribution of what we have to say as possible,” he added, “so that’s all part of why we started the show in the first place.”
Ziegler is nationally known for his sharp criticism and analysis of the media, which comes with decades of insider news experience, including spots on numerous national TV and radio talk shows.

Brandon, who brings more than 20 years of experience to the show, worked with Ziegler at KFI AM-640 before Ziegler’s on-air argument with show host John Kobylt regarding the Iraq War led to his eventual departure from the station, according to Ziegler.
“I’m someone who’s not afraid to speak my mind, and occasionally that gets you in trouble in the world,” he said during an earlier interview with KHTS. “I know firsthand just how broken the media is — people need to know that. And it’s probably the thing about which I’m most passionate.”
“The John & Leah Talk Show,” which airs on KHTS AM-1220 Sundays from 7 to 10 p.m., is “the final word about this past week’s news, and the first word on next week’s,” Ziegler said.
“It’s a look at the news in an entertaining, informative and unique style that you won’t hear anywhere else on the radio, or certainly in the mainstream news media.”
