Hart, Newhall and Water Board candidates to square off

On Monday, October 15th, KHTS AM-1220 and The Signal newspaper will co-host a live debate between candidates running in three local races.

Starting at 7:00pm, the debate will be broadcast live on AM-1220, and will also be made available as a podcast after the original air date. The debate will be held at the Santa Clarita City Council chambers, so guests are welcome to attend.

The Newhall School Board Candidates will start at 7:00 and debate for one hour. Christy Smith, Michael Shapiro and Suzan Soloman will take part in that portion.

ImageThen at 8:00pm, Water Board Candidates Rachel Neville, Daniel Mortensen and Lynn Plambeck will debate the issues.

Capping off the program will be Hart School Board candidates Joe Messina, Gloria Mercado-Fortine and Steve Sturgeon taking to the podium at 9:00pm.

The event will be moderated by Signal Editor Lila Littlejohn and KHTS News Director Jon Dell.
