“It was a weird night, reliving the Knockout Rounds, but I have nothing but a grateful heart,” Webster said in a statement. “Never did I ever expect any of this awesome-ness to come about. God is good and it’s insane to me that this experience has been in His plan for me all along.”

Webster was paired against fellow Team Miley contestant Janice Freeman, and chose to sing “Blue Bayou” by Linda Ronstadt.

“Growing up I tended to gravitate towards 70s folk female artists like Linda Rondstadt,” Webster said on the show. “All of her songs are so meaningful and she was so good at introducing folk and bluegrass into her pop music, and that’s exactly what I want to do with my music.”

Knockout advisor Kelly Clarkson said on the show that Webster’s voice is “a force to be reckoned with” for it’s “very sexy, sweet, but bold” tone, which she compared to Dolly Parton.

Though Webster performed a soft rendition of “Blue Bayou” that Coach Jennifer Hudson called extremely beautiful, Freeman’s powerhouse performance of “I’m Going Down” by Mary J. Blige ultimately took the win from Coach Miley Cyrus.

Before making her decision, Cyrus said that she couldn’t be more proud of both Webster and Freeman and that the talent they both showcased in their performances was completely equal.

“It was an absolute honor to sing alongside the incredible Janice Freeman and there is no questioning her very well-deserved win,” Webster said in her statement.

She continued, “(Monday’s) performance was very special to me. It was an extremely emotional song for me at the time, and it was an honor to sing a song made famous by a woman I so deeply admire. I’m proud of myself and the work I put into that performance… Keep following my music journey, as it is far from over.”
