KHTS Honored For Support Of Arts

Picture_-_Art_Award_10-21-10The City of Santa Clarita’s Arts Commission gave out kudos for arts supporters at its Thursday night meeting and KHTS AM1220 received this month’s Arts Recognition Award, which spotlights organizations for their efforts in supporting the arts in Santa Clarita.

KHTS was specifically recognized for the weekly one-hour program, “Thursday Matinee,” hosted by Paul Strickland, which focusing on the arts in Santa Clarita.

In addition, the station’s involvement in launching and continued support of Providence Holy Cross Medical Center’s “The Art of Healing” (click here for story) and in re-launching and continued support for the annual “Congressional Art Award” (click here for story) were also honored.
