During the KHTS afternoon drive broadcast on Wednesday, host Shelley Lee experienced sharp chest pains and was taken by ambulance to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Santa Clarita.
Lee was in the middle of a call-in interview when the pains began and, incredibly, finished the segment. When her jaw locked and her throat constricted, she yelled for help.
She is currently under the care of Henry Mayo Hospital, but will be transferred shortly to Antelope Valley Hospital where doctors will perform an angiogram.
Lee is the host of the KHTS afternoon drive broadcast, which runs from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
