SACRAMENTO) Nearly 40 radio stations from across the state broadcasted at the West Steps of the State Capitol yesterday as a part of the second annual Capitol Clear Speak.  The purpose is to provide a direct access to legislative leaders that are making critical decisions that affect all Californians.

High Desert Broadcasting based in the Antelope Valley and Hometown Station, KHTS, based in Santa Clarita, interviewed many state senators and assembly members about issues facing California.  Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger made a surprise appearance at Capitol Clear Speak where Carl Goldman with KHTS interviewed him.  The Governor also appeared and spoke to the broadcasters at Monday nights dinner.

The state faces critical issues that will affect all Californians.  This is an opportunity for local radio stations to talk to the legislators who are debating the right path for California to take, Senator George Runner (R-Antelope Valley).

Assemblywoman Sharon Runner (R-Antelope Valley) said, Its great that the local stations are up here to get an inside look at what is going on in Sacramento.  Im sure that it has been an eye-opening experience.
