KHTS To Give Away Harlem Globetrotter Tickets

KHTS AM 1220 listeners can win tickets to see the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters when they return to the Los Angeles area next month as part of their 2013 “You Write The Rules” World Tour.

In a new twist on the ultimate in family sports entertainment, fans will decide the rules in a basketball contest that promises to be chock-full of laughs and surprises. Fans and their kids can vote online at the “You Write The Rules” vote page to chose from unusual game rules that could be anything from playing with two balls at once, to getting double points for each basket made. Whatever the rules, Globetrotter fans can be assured of seeing a basketball event like no other.

The winning set of rules will be used in live games when the Globetrotters take the court in the L.A. area from February 16th to 18th at these locations:

Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. – Anaheim – Honda Center
Sunday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. – Los Angeles – STAPLES Center
Monday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. – Ontario – Citizens Business Bank Arena

Before the tipoff, fans of all ages can enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience when they join members of the Globetrotters on the court for “Magic Pass,” a 30-minute pregame show for the whole family, including shooting, learning ball tricks, autographs, and photos with the players.

KHTS AM 1220, Santa Clarita’s Hometown Station, will begin giving away free pairs of tickets to the games starting Monday, January 21st, when listeners will be able to call in for a chance to win, and visitors to the KHTS Hometown Station website will have a chance to submit for the contest online. The KHTS Globetrotters “You Write The Rules” ticket giveaway is sponsored by Napa Auto Parts. Ticket winners will pick up their free tickets at Napa Auto Parts located at Soledad Canyon Road and Furnivall Avenue in Canyon Country.

Game and Magic Pass tickets are on sale now at www.harlemglobetrotters.com and at each arena’s box office. Group tickets and scout tickets are also available online.
