Lance Armstrong’s Stolen Bike Turned In To Sacramento Police

Lance Armstrong’s time-trial bike that disappeared from the Team Astana truck after he used it before Stage 1 of the Tour of California has been found., the Associated Press is reporting.

The custom-made bike, a Trek Livestrong 1274 worth about $10,000, was brought to Sacramento police headquarters Wednesday morning by a local resident. Officers did not divulge where the bike was found, citing the ongoing investigation into the theft. The bike was originally taken, along with two other Astana team members’ bikes, after it was used during Saturday’s time trial.

The fourth annual Tour of California continued Wednesday with a 115.4-mile road race from Merced to Clovis. Armstrong, a seven-time Tour de France winner, entered the day in fourth place.
