Beginning Thursday, May 19, the City of Santa Clarita will commence a temporary and intermittent lane closure of the number two (outside lane), and the shoulder on the westbound side of Lyons Avenue between Main Street and Railroad Avenue.
Closures are anticipated to be in effect through the end of the month.

The lane closure is being done to accommodate the installation of structural steel for the Old Town Newhall Library. The number two lane (outside lane) and the shoulder will be closed intermittently from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The number one lane (fast lane) will be open to through traffic for the duration of the construction.
Drivers should expect possible delays and slowed traffic on the roadway during construction hours.
