North Los Angeles County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following additional lane (one southbound lane has already been closed for slide repairs since February storms) of the southbound Golden State Freeway (I-5) at Templin Highway on the “Grapevine” – approximately 12 miles north of Highway 126 near Santa Clarita — in order to perform storm-related pavement repairs, as follows: · From Friday, May 20 at 7 p.m. until Sunday, May 22, at 1 p.m.— and
· From Sunday, May 22 at 8 p.m. until Monday, May 23 at 5 a.m.:
One additional lane of southbound I-5 from Templin Highway to one-half mile south of Templin Highway.
Note: Two southbound lanes and three northbound lanes will be open to
motorists.
Closures are weather permitting and subject to change. Signs and detours will be posted to assist motorists. Caltrans reminds motorists that traffic fines are doubled in freeway work zones, and to please SLOW FOR THE CONE ZONE.
