Andrew Dahring, a former deputy with the SCV Sheriff’s Station and current Santa Clarita resident, was awaiting surgery Tuesday morning after being wounded in the Las Vegas shooting, according to a close friend.

Dahring suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder during the incident, and was reported as being in stable condition at a hospital in Las Vegas the next day.
Though Dahring reportedly currently works for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors office, he was a member of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station previously.
He is listed as a 2017 Frosh Football coach at Saugus High School.
Approximately 15 Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department personnel were in attendance at the concert, with three believed to be injured, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.
