Las Vegas Shooting: ‘Get Well’ Cards Made For Santa Clarita Victims At Vigil This Week #SCV4Vegas

The vigil for Las Vegas shooting victims earlier this week drew thousands out to Marketplace Park in Santa Clarita, who shared messages for the Santa Clarita victims who have come forward.

Travis Phippen is a trained medic, and upon hearing the sounds of gunfire and seeing people fall injured, he immediately started assisting other victims. Travis didn’t realize he had been shot while offering aid, and continued to do so with the bullet in his arm.

His father, John Phippen, would not leave Travis’ side as he attempted to aid those that had been struck or injured in the chaos. In the midst of gunfire, John jumped on top of a young woman to protect her, and was fatally shot in the back.

Ryan Anderson, 27, was struck in the head by shrapnel. Brandon White, 27, was shot in the leg, sustained fragmentation wounds and torn ligaments. Both Canyon High School grads from the class of 2008, Anderson and White were wounded protecting their girlfriends, among others, from the spray of bullets.

Nathalie Vanderstay was separated from a group of friends at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on the Las Vegas Strip toward the end of the show, when the bullets began flying.

She was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the abdomen.

Susie LaPorte was wounded by multiple gunshot wounds to the neck and upper torso, and is currently in the ICU at a Las Vegas hospital, according to family members.

Doctors determined Susie LaPorte was ready to leave the ICU on Thursday, and she is expected to be transferred to a new room as soon as a bed opens up.

Cesar Ranuschio was shot Sunday while attending the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival on the Las Vegas strip, and doctors discovered during surgery that fragments of shrapnel had gone into his heart muscle tissue, while the bullet lodged itself in his liver.

A former member of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, Andrew Dahring was off-duty when he was shot during the hail of gunfire coming from the 32nd story of the Mandalay Bay. Dahring, a Santa Clarita resident, was wounded in the shoulder.

Dominica Zeolla was shot in the chest, fractured her rib and part of her spine, and had her lungs fill with blood. Doctors were able to perform a successful surgery and drain her lungs, according to a close friend.

Stacey Fusano was shot in the abdomen during the incident, and is expected to make a full recovery. Those that treated Fusano felt that retrieving the bullet would cause more damage if they removed it.

Jessi Presten was treated for her gunshot wound at a hospital in Las Vegas, and then released.

Bud remains in serious condition and the road to recovery will be long,” a GoFundMe page created to help pay for Horn’s medical expenses stated, noting that he was shot multiple times in the abdomen.

Horn is the owner of Horns Backflow and Plumbing in Valencia.

After running for what she estimated to be about a mile, Kim Peoples arrived at Hooters Hotel free from any gunshot wounds, but with a burn on her leg from shrapnel.
