Councilwoman Weste makes last minute push for "yes" vote

Tuesday, Santa Clarita hits the deadline to return their votes on an open space initiative that would allow the City to levy a $25 yearly property tax assessment in order to purchase undeveloped land around Santa Clarita and preserve it as parkland and open space.

Below, Councilwoman Laurene Weste explains why she feels the initiative should be passed by voters.
