At the Board of Supervisors meeting on September 27, 2005, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich welcomed Mike Horner, Peter Bylsma, and David Houston  from Los Angeles Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (CALA) to proclaim the week of October 3-7, 2005 as “Lawsuit Abuse Awareness Week” throughout Los Angeles County. To protect California consumers, businesses, and families, we must discourage the filing of frivolous lawsuits.  The Los Angeles chapter of CALA is dedicated to educating the public about the human and financial costs of lawsuit abuse.
