Make a splash and learn about water conservation at the same time. The Castaic Lake Water Agency is holding its annual Open House from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and the public is invited.
Tour the CLWA Conservatory Garden and learn about drought-tolerant plants. Learn how to plant your own pizza garden, with things like oregano, tomatoes and mushrooms, and take some composting and landscape education classes, as well as tour the Conservatory Garden.
There are activities for the whole family, including an animal show from Placerita Nature Center, games and prizes, water-saving items, balloons, popcorn and lemonade.
Families will also be able to pick up tree seedlings from the Saugus Forestry Unit.
