Why should wine drinkers have all the fun? Library supporters host night of brews for books.

With a series of local wine tasting events already dedicated
to wine aficionados across the Santa Clarita Valley, next month the College of
the Canyons Foundation Library Associates will present a unique beer tasting
experience as the latest installment of the In Good Taste series.
The lowly pint of beer will finally get the respect and
admiration it deserves as the In Good Taste series delves into the textured and
diverse world of brewed beers for the very first time.
Food and wine educator John Bauccio returns to College of
the Canyons to lead an exploration of the different styles, traditions and
histories that have made beer the refreshingly popular beverage it is today —
leaving attendees with a newfound respect and appreciation for the drink that has
enchanted the masses for thousands of years.
The In Good Taste beer tasting will take place Friday, April
17 in the library at the College of the Canyons Valencia campus.
Featuring a selection of beers from Valencia’s award-winning
Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Company, as well as gourmet appetizers
prepared by the college’s culinary arts students, the event will begin with a
pre-tasting ‘beer hour’ at 6 p.m.
The beer tasting presentation will then begin promptly at 7 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m.
Tickets for this event are $50 per person and available
through reservation only. Seating is limited. Guests must be at least 21 to
attend. Business casual attire is suggested.
Attendees are asked to purchase tickets for this event by
April 10.
