Library Staff To Hold Community Birthday Celebration For Newhall Branch Library

Santa Clarita Valley community members are invited to Old Town Newhall Library to take part in its one-year birthday celebration Sept. 28.

The birthday event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature a variety of entertainment and activities for SCV residents.

Schedule is as follows:

  • 11 a.m. – The Hattie and Harvey Show: Experience a fun and comedic show featuring Doug Hoover as the magician Hattie and his kooky sidekick, Harvey.

  • 12 p.m. – Birthday Cake: Enjoy delicious birthday cake while supplies last.

  • 12:30 p.m. – Listen to stories read by local dignitaries.

  • 12:30-2 p.m. – Attendees will have the opportunity to create birthday-themed crafts.

Community members who attend the birthday celebration will have the chance to win one of two new Kindle Paperwhite e-readers. To be eligible, participants must check out a book at the Old Town Newhall Library by 5 p.m. Entrants’ names will then be put into a raffle. Winners will be notified Sept. 30.
